The 'HOUSE OF JOSHUA' is a ministry to abandoned boys aged 5 years upwards. The initial
temporary home is scheduled to open later this year for 10 boys with the construction of the
permanent home ongoing.
Located on 1261 square metre site, the newly
constructed house will accommodate 28 boys aged 5
years upwards with specially designed facilities for
children with disabilities.
An in-house learning centre for livelihood skills training
and a therapy room for s
pecial needs development will
enable all of the
boys to grow in
confidence and discover more of who God created
them to be whatever their age or ability level.
The name 'Joshua' means: 'God saves'. We believe that
God has a plan that extends beyond a home. It is his
intention that these boys be saved from lives of
rejection and lonliness and find hope and life in Him.
This is our first major project, requiring 4.5 million pesos to complete the construction with
additional regular support needed for monthly running costs.
MINISTRY TO BOYS:
Without families young, abandoned and
orphaned boys find themselves held in a social
welfare system, accommodated in jails
alongside juvenile criminals or housed in other
cramped and under financed government
conditions that are unable to meet their
essential physical, spiritual, mental and
emotional needs. Those with physical disabilities or developmental needs are unable to
receive intervention, resources or the opportunity to learn essential life skills.
Without effective care, support, education and discipleship these future men will be denied the
opportunity to grow,
HELP US CHANGE THE PRESENT
AND SHARE HOPE FOR A FUTURE!
